We are not hoteliers, and in effect this is not really a hotel! We manage our pajare as we see fit. Casa Ionia: A place where clients feel welcomed, just like old friends. Upon arrival, we (or our kind assistant Pazio) will give you all the instructions necessary for a fantastic and never ordinary stay in Salento. After a warm welcome, we will leave you to your well-deserved solitude. Remember also that this is a region where the slow life is appreciated. You will not find that everything happens quickly. The good things in life require patience. You will find that you will embrace our slower lifestyle at Casa Ionia.
The Decor
Someone once said that a house is a book written by each one of us. Every furnishing, fabric, room and object speaks of us, of the journey we have taken, of who we are and of where we have been. My father has furnished our pajare with extreme passion and intense sobriety, selecting from Mediterranean inspirations. Open the various doors of the pajare and you will begin a journey through happy memories and experiences remembered through the decor. The furniture reflects the Arte Povera typical of Salento, and comes from the Azure Coast, Marocco, Greece. The linens are all locally crafted, in unbleached linens and natural cottons. Here it is hard to grasp your actual location, you could be on the shores of the Mediterranean!
L'Esprit du sud n'a pas de frontière! At Casa Ionia we have tried to break down traditional barriers and replace them with a feeling of well-being. And it is beautiful to find yourself in this world.

THE LINENS
At Casa Ionia we have an instinctive passion for fine linens. Sleep wrapped in pure cotton and unbleached linen, and dry yourselves with the softest cottons. Linens changed 1/2 times per week.
BASKET OF TYPICAL PRODUCTS UPON ARRIVAL
For a relaxing arrival, at Casa Ionia you will be welcomed with goodies made at the bakery Santa Lucia di Tricase, and you will have water, milk and unforgettable coffee from Quarta waiting for you in your pajara.
SALENTINA DINNER AT CASA IONIA
Available upon request, we can organzie a true Salento dinner at your home. Local home cooking is another of our secrets to happiness! Pureed fava beans and cickory, orecchiette pasta with tomato sauce and pecorino chease, meatloaf, potato pizza....and "mieru" wine, lots of "mieru"!
